Fighting Sioux in Omaha!

After a month break, I'm attempting to return to blogging.

Although I've been swamped at work,

I did find time for a weekend getaway with Adam.

We road-tripped to Nebraska to watch some Sioux hockey.

 The Friday night game was played indoors here -

 

and was all kinds of fun.

I've got a few photos thanks to Instagram.

  

We had great seats and of course, the Sioux won!

The next morning we found this park 

as we toured around downtown.

 I cozied up with the locals -

 while Adam lent a helping hand
to a poor settler whose wagon got stuck.

Then we headed to the Old Market District to do some shopping.

There were a ton of fun shops,

 and crazy-huge antique stores -

this one even had an old soda shop inside!

 Next stop was the outdoor game at Ameritrade Park.

 

The rink was awesome, 

but it was so warm that the game was

delayed a few hours to get the ice in better shape. 

After another win,
a ton of loyal Sioux fans crowded down into one section
to cheer for the team as they came off the ice.

We had a great trip -

even though the drive home was an adventure -
